National Life Group Shines at the 2024 WIFS Thrive Women’s Conference

Women in Insurance and Financial Services (WIFS) hosted their annual Thrive Women’s Conference from October 14-16, 2024, in Philadelphia, bringing together professionals committed to advancing women in financial services. The conference provided a platform for education, professional development, and invaluable networking opportunities, with a focus on empowering women to thrive both personally and professionally in an industry where they have traditionally been underrepresented.

National Life Group, a proud Leadership Level supporter of WIFS, was deeply involved in the event, which featured keynote speakers and breakout sessions on topics ranging from leadership to financial planning and success strategies. The theme, “Thrive,” emphasized helping women build sustainable success while fostering community within the financial services industry.

Conference Highlights for National Life Group:

• Darlene Flagg, VP of Retirement Services, was honored as the WIFS Woman of the Year. Her involvement with the Dallas Fort Worth and Houston WIFS Chapters reflects her dedication to elevating women within the industry.

• Representatives from Evolution Financial Group—David Jacowitz, Bryan Weyman, and Daniel Flamma—actively engaged attendees at the National Life Group booth, answering questions and showcasing our company’s commitment to doing good in financial services.

• Megan Coleman, Brand Marketing Manager, participated in the Fast and Furious segment, where she shared an innovative business idea in a fast-paced, 60-second pitch competition. It was an exciting opportunity to exchange creative solutions with peers from across the industry.

• Allison Spears, AVP of Business Development at broker-dealer Equity Services Inc. (ESI), delivered National Life Group’s Big Idea presentation. She highlighted how we can Build a Thriving Future by empowering women to take on leadership roles within financial services, offering actionable solutions to create lasting change in the industry.

• National Life Group also hosted an inspiring breakout session led by strategic leadership coach and consultant, Lisa Bing, titled “Discover Your Hidden Powers and THRIVE – Using Influence for Sane Success.” Lisa guided participants through redefining success on their own terms, separating personal goals from external pressures, and leveraging influence to make empowered decisions.
