Last Call for You to Nominate a Retiring Educator!
Leverage the LifeChanger Capstone Award.
-Rafael Villa, ValuTeachers
Retiring educators are supposed to spend their final days in school receiving hugs from students, cards of gratitude from parents and celebrations from coworkers. COVID-19 stole that from so many but we’re giving you an opportunity to change that.
National Life’s LifeChanger of the Year (LCOY) program launched a new award this spring called the Capstone Award. It’s designed to honor educators retiring at the end of this 2019-2020 school year and nominations are closing June 5th.
This is your chance to celebrate clients and other school employees who are retiring this year. Each nominee will receive a Capstone certificate, celebratory poster and custom profile on LifeChangeroftheYear.com where colleagues, administrators, parents and students can leave reflections on how their nominee made a difference.
One lucky Capstone nominee will receive a $3,000 award and a virtual party.
Here’s how you can get involved:
- Review your book of business and see who is retiring this year and nominate them.
- Reach out to principal and school district relationships to ask them to nominate their retiring staff.
- Ask the school or district if they would be willing to post a call out for nominations on their website or social media pages. We’re happy to supply you with the content!
- Share our Capstone flyer or email found in this toolkit.
- Make a call out for your community to nominate retiring educators in your local newspaper or e-forums.
- And don’t forget to let us know you did any of the above activities so we can give you the credit for the nomination! We will distribute a local news release with a quote from you and include you in the celebration if your nominee is a winner!
