Knowing Your Client Improves Life Application Turn Around

Field Underwriting policy updates effective November 1, 2021.

Effective November 1, 2021, if a client has a medical history or pertinent non-medical history that was undisclosed within the original application and is later discovered through our underwriting process, we will automatically request additional information and refer to an underwriter for additional review.

While third-party data sources have become an increasingly important source of underwriting data, full disclosure and transparency are required for effective underwriting. Sound field underwriting is more critical now than ever.  When our data sources reveal pertinent information that has been undisclosed, the application will require a more rigorous manual review and will take longer than our typical process. If the non-disclosure is egregious, we reserve the right to decline the file without further underwriting review.
