Ensure Smooth Year-end Processing for 1035 Exchange Cases
Submission by October 25 is highly recommended.
To ensure enough time for the ceding carrier to release funds for 1035 Exchange cases, we highly encourage business requiring 1035 transfers to pay initial premium is submitted by October 25, 2021.
Business submitted on or before October 25 cannot be guaranteed, but will stand the best chance possible of being issued in 2021.
To help expedite the release of funds from other carriers, keep the following in mind:
- For instances where e-signatures are accepted, eApp is always your best bet! DocuSign is accepted by some ceding carriers.
- If you’d like funds overnighted, please provide your FedEx/UPS account information to be sent with the 1035 exchange request
- Like-to-Like ownership
- Electronic signatures are not widely accepted
- Updates on 1035 activity are available on the Agent Portal
- In most instances, the client can expedite processing by providing a waiver of conservation letter to be sent with the 1035 exchange request
