Forms and Materials Best Practices
Committed to ensuring you have the best materials available to support your business.
Using the Forms and Materials link on the Agent Portal, we provide agent and consumer marketing pieces, forms and applications for your use.
While availability may differ by the type of piece, items may be downloaded (web link), e-mailed directly through the system, or printed and shipped.
Whether you place orders directly, or someone orders on your behalf, here are some best practices about the MerrillConnect online ordering system:
- After searching, the download option (and saving the link to your browser or device) ensures that you are always have the most recent copy of a piece if changes have been made. Once you have the link, you do not need to go back into MerrillConnect to access it.
- If you need printed materials, please only order what you currently need. Many items are modified frequently and should not be “placed on a shelf” for future use because they can become outdated quickly.
- If you are e-mailing a piece, you can also copy and paste the link into Outlook or your e-mail client directly.
- For applications, always use eApp if it’s available. After all, this is the fastest path to issue.
- For physical orders, National Life pays for ground shipping only. If overnight shipping is requested it will be charged to your internal or agency.
- For printed pieces, an item limit may be in place. If you need larger quantities, please work your distribution leader so your needs can be accommodated.
