Pennsylvania Annuity Suitability Training

A reminder all Producers currently licensed to sell, solicit, and negotiate annuity products in Pennsylvania must comply with the annuity suitability regulation effective December 26, 2018.

Those licensed in PA prior to December 26, 2018 have until June 26, 2019 to complete a one-time four hour state approved annuity training course and NLG annuity product training.

 

Those licensed in PA December 26, 2018 and after must complete a one-time four hour state approved annuity training course and NLG annuity product training prior to solicitation.

 

NLG is opting to apply the NAIC Model Regulation grace period as opposed to the state’s license cycle based implementation schedule.

 

State annuity training (RegEd course 390) can be completed on the RegEd ATP https://secure.reged.com/TrainingPlatform/.

 

NLG annuity product training is available on the NLG Agent Portal.

 

Producers who satisfied state annuity training requirements of another state with substantially similar requirements will be deemed compliant in PA.
