Racquel Oden to Board of Directors

We are excited to announce that HSBC U.S. Head of Wealth and Personal Banking Racquel Oden has been elected to serve on the National Life Group Board of Directors.

 

 

In her role at HSBC, Oden is responsible for the delivery of wealth management, private banking, asset management and personal banking products and services in the U.S., targeted to internationally minded clients.

About Oden

Oden has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. She joined HSBC from JPMorgan Chase where she served as Head of Network Expansion for Consumer Banking, Head of National Sales and led consumer banking and wealth management for the Northeast Division. Previously, Oden was an executive member at Merrill Lynch, where she spent eight years in several leadership roles, and prior to that, she spent more than 10 years at UBS in various senior capacities. She started her career in equity trading at Morgan Stanley in 1997.

Oden is Chair of the Board of Directors for the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. She also serves on the board of directors for the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York City’s Prep for Prep, and The New York City Police Foundation. She earned a B.A. in political science from James Madison University and an M.B.A. from Hampton University. She lives on Long Island, NY, with her husband and daughter.
