Do Good Heroes Supports Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation
At National Life Group, we believe in honoring those who protect and serve our communities– and that’s exactly what our Do Good Heroes program is all about.
We’re proud to share that we recently donated $25,000 to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation to support the purchase of single-layer Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the city’s firefighters.
Following the devastating January 2025 wildfires, the LAFD identified this gear as a top priority to help reduce exposure to harmful chemicals in traditional turnout gear, while still ensuring protection during non-critical incidents. This contribution will help equip more firefighters with the gear they need to stay safe while serving others.
The National Life Group Do Good Heroes program was created to recognize first responders who go above and beyond– not just in moments of crisis, but in their everyday acts of service. This donation is a powerful example of how Do Good Heroes goes beyond recognition to make a real difference in the lives of those who serve.
Members of the National Life team, including Silivia Alvarado (Manager, Sales), Rory Richards (Director of Underwriting), and Brittany Russo (Director, Independent Distribution) were on hand to present the check and represent the gratitude we all feel for the LAFD’s tireless work.
Do you know a first responder who’s making a difference in your community?
We want to hear their story.
