The Advertising Guidance team (“AGT”) is excited to provide you with guidelines to navigate advertising compliance. These guidelines provide you with the tools you need to market yourself, your agency, NLG, and/or ESI. 

The set of guidelines offers tips, examples, and covers topics like: 

• Fixed life insurance and fixed annuity advertising regulatory and content standards, including words and phrases to avoid and use instead. 

• Securities, advisory services, and financial planning/consulting advertising regulatory and content standards that supplement the agent guidelines. 

• 403(b)/457(b) advertising and its requirements. 

• Co-branding agency materials with NLG and how pre-approved materials can be leveraged. 

• Social media and other electronic and digital advertising. 

• Podcasts and videos, including how to store these compliantly, to ensure proper record retention, specifically for ESI registered persons.

Access them via the home page of the Agent Portal – from the Tools section, click the Compliance tile and then the Advertising/Social Media link to bring you the page where both are found.
