Agent Recognized With Do Good Award for Work With Mentor Program

At this year’s Conference of Champions, Independent Agent Jose Jimenez, of All Star Capital Group, Inc., was presented with an Agent Do Good Award. This award is given to agents who exemplify our values of Do good, Be good, Make good, by giving back to their communities.

Jose has been a catalyst for the inception and delivery of “Real Men Read.” This volunteer-driven program brings MENtors from the community into kindergarten classrooms to read to students throughout the school year. Each student is given a book to start a home library with their family.

While the books are cherished by students, the greater gift is the time students get with the MENtors. Since men tend to be seen as less involved in elementary education, spending time sharing books with a positive male role model allows the children to connect with the world of reading in a new and special way.

Jose shared that many of the kids he reads to are those of migrant workers. He hopes these children will see hope in his presence since he looks like them. The program, which is led by the Greater Miami Chapter of Continental Societies, Inc., was started by one of Jose’s clients.

 

Recently, Jose presented his $7,500 donation from the National Life Group Foundation to the Greater Miami Chapter of Continental Societies, Inc. so they can do more good for kids in the Miami area. Thank you, Jose, for your commitment to doing good in the communities in which you operate!
