Make sure you remain an agent in good standing!

Ensure you are meeting all the requirements.

Personal production is just one of several items required for you to be an agent in good standing at National Life Group.

The following checklist will help ensure you are meeting all the requirements:

Business must be written at least once in a 12 month period.
Anti-Money Laundering (AML) must be completed once every 2 years. All agents complete NLG AML during the contracting process. Watch for notifications from our AML vendor, Calsurance, which will direct you to complete the NLG AML training.
Errors & Omissions coverage must be provided annually. Watch for notifications from our E&O vendor, Calsurance, which will direct you on the enrollment process or how you can upload a copy of your E&O certificate.
Your state resident license must be kept active.

Here are some additional tips for smooth sailing when you submit business:

  • Agents writing annuity business will need to complete State Annuity training and National Life Group Product-Specific training as required by the state prior to taking the application.
    • Agents can complete the NLG Product-Specific training during the econtracting process or by logging onto the National Life Group Agent Portal –> Product/Training block –> Annuity –> Products Training.
    • State Requirements can be found on the National Life Group Agent Portal -> Product/Training block -> Continuing Education -> Producer Annuity Training Requirements by State.
  • National Life Group covers the cost of a resident state appointment fee. Agents are responsible for any non-resident license appointment and renewal fees.
