Looking Back on BUILDs Impact
BUILD was chartered with the commitment to increase the number of Black agents and leaders in the financial services industry.
Black History Month was an opportunity to acknowledge the rich history of African Americans and their contributions to the world.
On Wednesday, Feb. 21, members of the BUILD (Blacks Uplifted in Leadership Development) community embraced the opportunity to partake in a local Black History Month event at the African American Campus Museum, located at Collin College in Frisco, Texas.
Kimberly Y. Evans, BUILD co-chair and president of Purposed Consulting, LLC, delivered a keynote address to a captivated audience of over 200 individuals, sharing her profound insights of the African American experience.”
It was pleasure to represent National Life Group and BUILD as we establish ourselves as partners within the community,” Kimberly said. “This was an opportunity to speak directly to consumers and let them know that National Life Group values all of our customers.”
BUILD members National Life Independent Distribution Key Account Associate Maurice Bonner and Bennie Evans of Purposed Consulting LLC, were also in attendance to represent National Life. They interacted with members of the Frisco community, distributing National Life brochures and sharing information about our company’s products and job openings.
“What’s great about events like this is that you get to have one on one conversations with people you wouldn’t ordinarily speak to,” Maurice said. “Introducing them to National Life Group, our products and job opportunities, opened their eyes to possibilities they hadn’t thought of before.”
