Introducing National Life Group’s New Life Insurance Application

We know that your time is valuable, and the more time you spend with your clients, the more successful you can be!

What is Happening?

National Life Group has simplified the life insurance application process by combining the LSW and NL writing company applications into one version, for all states other than NY and CA.

Starting May 13th, when submitting paper applications, you will be able to select the writing company (LSW or NL) at the top of your application. Selected the wrong writing company?  You won’t have to get a new application signed by your client as you did before, simply notify your case manager.

How to prepare?

eApp User?

No changes to your experience, eApp always has the most current version!

Please Note: Your product selection screen is going to look a little different. You’ll see that there will be multiple NL product options and one will have a “void” message.  The “void” message will disappear after May… do not select these products if you are submitting a new application.

Do you have NL life applications in progress?  If you continue with an unfinished NL application in eApp after May 11th, you will be presented with a blocker screen which will guide you through the process of selecting the updated application.

IMPORTANT: All NL applications started prior to May 11th will need to be completed before the end of May otherwise they will no longer be accessible.

IMPORTANT: All NL applications started prior to May 11th will need to be completed before the end of May otherwise they will no longer be accessible.

Paper Application User?

You’ll have a 30-day transition period, so if you have any in-flight apps on the NL/LSW paperwork send those in! For the most current application versions, visit Merrill on or after May 13th.  The 9212 application version will only be used in NY and CA until the updated applications forms are approved in those states.

Why is this important to me?

  • Less form numbers to remember
    • LSW and NL products are now available on form number 8121
  • Less wait time when the wrong writing company is selected
    • You no longer have to get additional client signatures, notify your Case Manager.
