Do Good Fest 2023 is Upon Us!

National Life adds Fastball and lovelytheband to Do Good Fest's lineup along with Plain White T’s and others.

The Lineup:

The July 15 benefit concert lineup is now set, bringing together bands with number one hits in three different decades. These bands round out the bill along with headliner, two-time Grammy nominated American Rock Band Plain White T’s and Vermont favorite, All Night Boogie Band.

Formed in 1994 in Austin, Texas, Fastball combined a fondness for melodic, Beatles-inspired pop with the alternative aesthetic of late-’90s mainstream rock. In 1998, Fastball’s “The Way” peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and remained there for seven weeks.

lovelytheband are a Los Angeles based alternative rock band. Their debut single “broken” made billboard history (charting for 76 weeks and reaching number 1 on multiple charts). National Life is once again partnering with Star 92.9 to present the National Life Group Do Good Fest on the company’s back lawn in Montpelier.

“At National Life we believe in the power of connection,” said Mehran Assadi, Chairman, CEO, and President of National Life Group. “And what better way to do it than through music. National Life is a financial services company with a soul. Hosting this benefit concert is one way of the many ways we reflect that.”

About the Concert:

The concert will again benefit Branches of Hope, the cancer patient fund at Central Vermont Medical Center’s National Life Cancer Treatment Center. The past Do Good fests have raised more than $350,000 for the fund.

National Life is also bringing back Beats for Beats for Good a high school music competition for Vermont students. This year there will be a grand prize winner as well as a first and second runner-up. The grand prize winner will open Do Good Fest from the main stage and win $5,000 for their school’s music program. The runners-up will also have the opportunity to play at Do Good Fest and win $2,500 and $1,000 respectively for their school’s music programs. All three winners will have exclusive backstage access to meet the local and national musicians. The public can vote for their favorite high school musicians between June 9 and June 23. Winners will be announced with Mike and Mary on Star 92.9 Friday, June 30.

In addition to the music, Do Good Fest will also have more food trucks than ever, a beer garden run by Cornerstone Pub and Kitchen, an exclusive VIP lounge, face painting for kids, and a Nonprofit Village where festival attendees can learn about local causes and how they contribute to the vitality of the community. The event will be capped with the Fest’s famous fireworks!
